Support Policies: Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations
Dock Accents will accept returns up to 30 days from the date of purchase (No returns are accepted after 30 days). Products must be damage-free and packaged in the original packaging with all paper work such as assembly instructions, etc. (if applicable). Please contact us before returning any items so we can expedite the refund process and give you the appropriate return address(es). If you paid by credit card or PayPal, we will issue a refund back to your card once the products(s) are returned. All returns will be refunded minus original shipping costs plus a 10% restocking fee. The customer is responsible for the return shipping charges as well, except in cases of damaged products.
If you receive an item that has manufacturer defects or shipping damage, Please inspect your order prior to signing the Bill of Lading receipt and/or note damage on Bill of Lading for all Freight shipments. A Call tag or other arrangements will be made with the carrier to pick the item up. We will issue a refund for the order or product(s) in full or ship another product to you. You will need to make pre-arrangements with Dock Accents regarding options.
If you receive an order and simply wish to return it because you don’t want or need it anymore (having not used or installed the product(s), then you are responsible for shipping it back and we will issue you a refund for the order or product minus orignial shipping costs.
If you receive a product that is damaged already (from shipping or manufacturer defects) and want to exchange it for a new one, Dock Accents will issue a Call Tag or make arrangements with the carrier to pick up the damanged or defected item(s) and then ship the new item(s) to you at Dock Accents’ expense.
If Dock Accents shipped the wrong items in your order, Dock Accents will issue a Call tag or make arrangements with the carrier to pick up the incorrect order and then ship the correct order to you at Dock Accents’ expense.
If you, the customer, ordered the wrong item(s), the expense of sending the incorrect item(s) back to Dock Accents is the responsibility of the customer. In turn, Dock Accents will either exchange the incorrect item for the correct item or refund as noted above. Any price differences incurred with the exchange will be adjusted and shipping charges applied accordingly.
FOR ORDERS PAID VIA CREDIT CARD or PAYPAL – For Orders placed between 12:00 midnight and 5:00 pm, cancellations must be approved prior to 5:00 pm EST the same day order is placed; Orders placed between 5:00 pm and 12:00 midnight must be approved pior to 5 pm EST the following day. If you cancel your order after your payment has alrady been settled per the above guidelines, you (the customer) will be subject to a 7% cancellation fee to cover business fees (merchant fees, etc) incurred in good faith by our company. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND, especially when purchasing large ticket items. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call us first prior to placing your order.
CUSTOM MADE ORDERS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE unless cancellation is made within 24 hours of placing the order. Special custom orders include but are not limited to power centers, aluminum ramps, floating docks and/or custom dock lights.
Please make sure to obtain tracking services when returning a product(s). In case of loss or theft, we need to have valid proof that you attempted to return the item in order to give you the appropriate credit.
